Chances are you love someone who has had breast cancer, is currently fighting breast cancer or who, sadly, succumbed to the disease.

While it is troubling news that breast cancer diagnoses have been on the rise in recent years, breast cancer survival rates have been improving. This is largely due to early detection, thanks to increased awareness, and better treatment options.

All of us can continue to ensure a positive trend in detecting, diagnosing and treating breast cancer by participating in regular screenings, understanding risk levels and warning signs and maintaining good overall health.

Breast cancer accounts for about 30% of all new female cancers each year.

1 in 8 women will get breast cancer during her lifetime.

By the end of 2024 it is estimated that over 42,000 women will die from breast cancer.

There are more than 4 million breast cancer survivors in the U.S., and we can keep that number growing through vigilance and action!
